The conditions at Trefor can be amazing, so this beach is very popular with the locals. The best sailing winds are W and SW, which create good wave sailing conditions for more experienced sailors. In other wind directions the conditions are more suitable for jump and blast sailing. It is best to sail here when the sea at Hell’s Mouth is too rough, but check the weather forecasts before you go.
Getting there: Head S on the A499 from Caernarfon, follow the signs for Trefor and the beach is signposted
